The Italian national team head coach has not hidden his intent of taking the AC Milan striker for the European Championships to be played

Antonio Cassano has been out of action since late October, when he suffered a mini stroke on Milan’s trip back from Rome. The striker had a heart surgery
in November, and he has been recovering from it since then.
The striker has been advised to slowly make his way back into action so that he could his make his heart strong enough to play regular football. The former
AS Roma striker started light training some time back, and he finally had a training session with his Milanello team-mates last week. However, the training involved stretching and running, and he was not involved in the full training program.
