Croatian International, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danijel-Pranjic-c10154 attributed the failure of his proposed Everton move to transpire, down to the Toffees lazy approach to land him.

Earlier, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Moyes had reportedly expressed his interest in the midfielder.
However, since no substantial measures were taken by the Scott to follow up on the player, he instead penned a three-year deal with the Portuguese side, Sporting Lisbon last Friday.
Given that the Toffees are now closing in on signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Steven-Pienaar-c34208 on a permanent contract, their interest in Pranjic was likely to fade away.
The midfielder made a switch to Lisbon from the German giants, Bayern Munich. During his three year stay at the Allianz Arena, he capped 81 appearances for the Bavarians and scored just a single goal.
The Merseyside club had also made an overture for him during the January transfer window, but the move was barricaded by Munich.
The 30-year old justified his decision of not waiting for an offer from Everton, accusing the Toffees of stalling the transfer process. He also indicated that the proposal from Lisbon was too good to turn down and he made a perfectly correct footballing
decision.
While talking to reporters, he said: “David Moyes publicly announced that he wanted me at Everton. But then I got a feeling that things were moving too slow and I didn’t want to wait anymore. I could have waited until the end of August but then Sporting
knocked on my door and I knew right away that this is what I want.”
“I could also have gone to Besiktas but Sporting was such a good option for me that I couldn’t say no.”
Nevertheless, if some reports are to be believed, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 are set to announce the return of Pienaar at Goodison Park within the next couple of days. The South African International has remained Moyes’ primary target for the midfield area during the summer,
keeping in view his remarkable six month loan spell with the Toffees during the prevenient term.
Given the move goes ahead, it will be Pienaar’s third spell with the Merseyside club.
