Prank call lead to a wild attack!! PLEASE HELP ME?

I have been getting A LOT of harassing telephone calls and this last one lead to a very scary scene. I got a phone call around 5:00 pm today from a girl - when I answered she said "Listen here you fu**ing dirty who*e I am sick and tired of your bullshi* so you better watch the fu** out before I take you out!" while this was going on I was in shock and didn't say a word.I quickly hung up the phone and called the police, they said if it happens again to call them back and they will trace the call it was probably just a hateful prank..well I had been getting late night hang ups for about 2 weeks - I left to the store to pick up a few things for dinner and when I came home someone had spray painted my front door "fuc*ing Bit*h" - I was so horrified, that I called the police over and they took my statement and took pictures of the door..no later than 10 minutes after the police left I got a call again from "unavailable" when I answered they called me a snitch bit*h and hung up

you should go to your local walmart or kmart and get a couple of the security cameras with night vision on them and sound, one for the front of the house and one for the back. also get some 24 hour vhs tapes. hook each camera up to a separate tv with a vcr, or if you like get the wireless cameras(the wired ones are cheaper if they don't reach get the extention cables or just move tvs closer). if you need help hooking these up get a friend that's good with electronics to help you. after getting them hooked up, put the vhs tapes in everyday in the morning and press record, this will record whomever comes up to your house front or back day or night. label each tape with the date until you catch the person on camera...make a copy of the tape and then turn it in to the police. buy pepper spray, carry a personal alarm, keep your phone on speed dial and speaker phone, try to travel with a friend or family member always, don't travel or walk around at dark. put flour on the ground so the people who walk in it will leave prints then show them to the police along with the tape. if you don't have an answering machine get one...maybe they will leave a message and that will help to identify them

Well, if this is all true then I suggest you pack a suitcase for a few days stay at your parents home or with a friend. However, leave a few lights on in the house, and try to not let anyone see you carrying a suitcase out of the house or you leaving. Make sure no one follows you to where you are going to stay for a few days.

Then call the officer you spoke with earlier, and let him know since you are scared and these people know where you live - that you will be staying at a friend or family members house for a while.

Next step is to try and narrow down in your mind who this person might be. An ex boyfriends new woman, someone you miffed off, did you have an affair with anyone lately (or been with someone whom you thought was single but maybe they really weren't), and the list goes on of why a woman might be so angry at you.

After all of this, I would also seriously consider finding a new place to live, and changing my phone number. After all, it is your life on the line, right ?

Call your friends preferably the big ones to come to your house and keep you company for a while

I don't know what to say. Assuming you didn't do something to deserve all this, the best course of defense is to keep the police heavily involved. I'm sure they'll get to the bottom of things if you keep them involved.

I'd suggest buying a gun and letting these people know that you have it...but first of all, I'd hope the issue is resolved before the 3-day waiting period is over...and second, without knowing what kind of people these are, that could just make things worse.

until the police are able to figure things out your best bet is to stay with a friend or family member, never go anywhere alone, when you walk somewhere at night alone carry your keys in your hands with the pointy end sticking out between your knuckles in case you find you must defend yourself.

Its obvious its someone you know. Did you get into a verbal fight with someone recently? Did you see the peoples faces that egged you? Think of all the people you've come in contact with since this all happened. Maybe that will jog your memory and you will find out who it is. In the meantime think of all the people who you know that has a problem with you.

You know what, I think you should take matters into your own hands. You already said this to them right. Do they even take you seriously? Why not have them send over a few extra security at your house. You have to a weapon or something you can use for self defense. Id recommend a taser or pepper spray. If you have a gun with you, then use it. Aim for them their freakin balls. It would shut them up for life
