Pratul Joshi crushes Mohit Kamat in Men’s Singles fight at Central Zone Badminton Championships-2012
India’s talented player Pratul Joshi, a representative of Air India, displayed his tremendous skills on court and remained successful in giving a severe treatment to Railways’ shuttler Mohit Kamat at the Central Zone Badminton Championships-2012 in New Delhi, on Tuesday, September 4.
The spirited Pratul, who possesses an aggressive approach on court, showed his elevated craft of court while playing against Mohit and he easily won the battle by making a good use of his power play.
The in-form Pratul was on a different level as he played controlled and dominating badminton by taking the bird timely and registered a spectacular victory over his rival in straight sets with a convincing score on the board.
The confused Mohit, on the other hand, was helpless against his spirited rival as he could not play positive badminton at crucial stages in the match and eventually went down against Pratul without showing a great performance.
The opening game of this Men’s Singles showdown was interesting in opening points when they employed attacking shots from all areas of the court and remained neck-to-neck at the initial stage.
Nevertheless, Pratul geared up his speed and pushed Mohit on back foot by playing fast and aggressive badminton.
The in-form Pratul showed wonderful aggression and managed a small lead in the opening half of first set.
Pratul continued showing his positive and planned play on court without sparing any chance for his rival to take charge of rallies. He took the opening set with a reasonable 21-18 margin on the board.
In the second game, Pratul was on a completely different level as he played aggressively and managed an early lead against Mohit without facing any trouble.
The passionate Pratul remained consistent in his fast and positive play as he did not commit unforced errors and set up a wonderful gap on score board until the break.
In the concluding half of second set, Pratul did not drop his speed and maintained his upper hand over Mohit to end up the set with a killing difference of 21-12.
Pratul emerged as victorious against Mohit in Men’s Singles contest with a dominating 21-18 and 21-12 score on the board.
