  1. How is the slope -3 if the y value never changes? Shouldn't it have no slope?

    (-1-3)/(2-2)

  2. so according to wikipedia, the standard form of a line is written in the form Ax+By=C.

slope intercept form is written in the form y=mx+b.  m is the slope of the line, and b is where the line crosses the y axis.  for example, if the line crosses the y axis at (0,-4), b would be -4.  you know the slope is -3, and you are given only 1 point.  basically, just take that point and trace a line thru it with a slope of -3 to find out b.

in your problem, i think the line crosses thru the y axis at (0,0).  therefore, the slope intercept form of the line is y=-3x+0.  the -3 is the slope of your line.  now that you have that equation, it's just a matter of getting it into Ax+By=C form.  A is the number in front of x, B is the number in front of y, and C is your constant (zero here).

so your answer should be 3x+y=0 i think
