Question:

Pre Calculus or AFM?

I just started school as a sophmore two days ago and I was placed in Advanced Functions and Modeling [AFM]. I really feel like this just isn't the right class for me, and I want to be in Pre Cal.

However, math was never my strong point. I do alright in math, and I like math, but I'm not an expert with it. I had alg. 1 in 7th grade geo in 8th and alg. 2 in 9th.

I've always been in the smart classes, but this year, I wasn't placed in those classes.

I passed alg 2 with a [semi-low] B last year.

I don't know whether I should switch out of AFM into Pre Cal or not.

Would pre cal be too hard for me? What's it like.

Do you think I can handle it?

P.S. I have a tutor that can help me on wednesdays and sundays.

P.P.S. although I have the ability to work hard, I've never really been a hard working student when it comes to math.

Thanks!
