Pre Production?!?

What does "Pre Production" Meen? Like for movies...

Plz add details.

Pre production is the planning and all the paper work for when you actually shoot it(called production) and then after you shot the movie you go inot post production to edit it and give it to the sound designer who recorded the dialogue.

The producer will work the hardest in pre production. Its all the legal stuff, marketing,doing the budget and contracts you need the cast and crew to sign.  Im sure if you google it you will get all the detail.
