they give me the equation of the height of a diver jumping from a platform;

h= -16.1t^ + 11t + 34.3

^ = squared

a.) how do i sketch a graph of the equation from t = 0.0 to t = 2.0

''t'' = time in seconds

also, how do i find out the amount of seconds from the diver's height if its above water 7 feet? i've written the equation and it is:

0 = -16.1t^ + 11t + 27.3

how do i factor this trinomial?

thanks a lot!!!

  1. i'll try and put it to u gently that this is an algebra1 question

    it cant be factored probably

    sketch it by usign yr graphing calc.- u shoudl know who to use it- or plug in values for t between 0 and 2 in intervals of 0.25.

    then make 7 = 16.1t^ + 11t + 34.3

    0 = -16.1t^ + 11t + 27.3

    and now use the quadratic formula.  a = -16.1 b = 11 c = 27.3
