Pre-historic creatures?

Has any of the boffins ever taken a stab at how long one of these creatures could have lived, age wise?

  1. Yea that's all they do isn't it, take a stab in the dark guess at when and for how long they lived.

  3. animal life spans depend on size and motabolism, probably tens to hundreds of years, no body knows for sure,

  4. what creatures?  but there is alot you can tell from bone size of any creature.  especially metabolism rates and birth cycles etc that can help anthros guess at life span, but obviousley its a guess.

  5. A "prehistoric creature" could be a common canine. All "prehistoric" means is before recorded history.

    The dog dates to about 12 or 13 thousand BCE and anything before about the 4th millennium is...pre-historic.

    So, did you mean paleontological creatures such as them Dinosaurs?
