  1. I have a t-mobile prepaid, and all you do is buy the phone which is like $50 and then buy a $10, $25, $50, or $100 minutes card. That's it! You get the best deal (10 cents per minute) with the $100 card plus 15% extra minutes I think. Also, go to prepaidreviews.com, it's pretty helpful.

Edit: Yeah, it's true: if you need to call and talk and text a lot, a plan is more worth it. But I don't use my phone that much, so it only comes to less than $25 a month for me.

  2. t-mobile prepaid is ok. but honestly you spend way less money if you just buy a plan. i started out with prepaid and if you are a normal functioning adult, you obviously have alot of ppl you will need to talk to, and you meet more each day.

so i say dnt waste money being cheap, go for tha good one and think about the future. GET A PLAN.

  3. You can go to wirefly.com get free phone and view the different plans they can give you also they have pre paid phones i did it and got a free blackberry

  4. Honestly, a normal phone and normal plan cost cheaper than prepaid cellphones.

  5. There are many prepaid services:

    # GoPhone (AT&T Mobility)

    # Boost Mobile (Sprint Nextel)

    # INpulse (Verizon Wireless)

    # T-Mobile To Go (T-Mobile)

    # Pay and Talk (Telus Mobility)

    # Pay as You Go (dPi Teleconnect)

    # Pay as You Go (Rogers Wireless)

    # Virgin Mobile Canada (Bell Mobility)

    # Virgin Mobile USA (Sprint)

    # kajeet (Sprint)

    # TracFone/Net10 (América Móvil)

    # Jump Mobile (Leap Wireless)

    # U Prepaid (Alltel)

    # Pre-Paid Wireless (US Cellular)

    # Ready Mobile PCS (Titan Wireless)

    # Solo Mobile (Bell Mobility)

    # Speakout USA (7-11 MNVO (AT&T Mobility))

    # Speakout Canada (7-11 MVNO (Rogers Wireless))

    # PC Mobile (Loblaws MVNO (Bell Mobility))

    # Page Plus Cellular (MVNO)

    # Unicel Express (Unicel)

And I would look them up at their sites.

I have a Tracfone, though I do want a real cellphone. I think it's pretty cheap because you can look for plans that will double the minutes you pay for. Minutes are always displayed on your phone (as "credits") unless you wish not to display them. Texting counts as a third of a credit, so each text you send is around 4ish cents. Not bad, because with Alltel phones, texts are 20 cents each without a plan.

It has pretty good service compared to my sister's Alltel phone, which isn't prepaid.
