Pre paid credit cards? can i use one of those to purchase flights?

im going to go to Oregon next month and i don't have a credit card, i was thinking about getting one of those pre paid credit cards.. is it possible to purchase airline tickets with one of those online at like expedia.com or cheap flights.com?
