  1. I am a speech therapist at a preschool for children with special needs as well as typically developing children.  If your child does not have an opportunity to play with children his own age, then preschool might be a nice option. Two year olds are just starting to learn to play with their peers.  Many of them still engage in parallel play (watching & doing what others are doing, but not interactive - like building with 2 separate set of blocks, but next to each other.)

I feel that preschool is more important for 3 and 4 yr olds than 2 yr olds.  For 2 yr old, I kind of neutral on it: it's not harmful if they enjoy it or you need the time for things you need to do, but they can easily gain the skills needed for kindergarten if they go to 1 or 2 yrs of preschool.  More than academics, the biggest thing that children learn at preschool is social.

  2. Send your kid to school. He is so small but by joing preschool there are many advantages. He will get new friends, he will learn sharing, he will start involving with other people. There are many people who take admission for their child very late (after 3 yrs), but believe me its hard for children to adjust with everything and also hard for parents to manage it.

Send your kid to preschool not for study but for fun. Dont expect any thing to learn at so small age
