7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

whenever I hear a preacher or someone tells people that Jesus is talking about the devil. I have to ask, why do you tell people that when that is not true. All Jesus is doing is foretelling his future. if people just read the whole story. the thieves and robbers are the pharisees and the scribes and the hireling Jesus is speaking about is Judas. what Jesus call the devil is the father of lies, not a thief. So people if you are going to quote scripture, make it fit where it goes.

  1. Are our lives already laid out for us? ie the road we have to travel but its up to us whether or not we can ignore this and choose otherwise (be influenced by Satan) or is it that even if we veer off that road that God will guide us back to our path again or is it a case whereby we are meant to veer off and that is God's plan anyway but He knows we will eventually be guided back?
