Preakness Stakes?

I have never been to a horse race... I want to go the Preakness but I am not sure where is the best place to sit and everything. Like should I buy a general admission ticket, or an infield ticket. I don't want to spend a ton of money for it. Which is better

  1. If you want to be in the thick of things sit in the infield it is so much fun.

  2. grandstand it! enjoy the moment...

  3. Any ticket is good if you have a view of the track. Horseracing is very exciting to watch, but I'd rather be standing where I can see the track myself, and not via a monitor.

You don't need expensive seats to have a good time, but I wouldn't think the infield would provide a good view other than when they race past the area where you are standing.

    Enjoy!

  4. General admission gets you in a standing room only situation. Unless you want to buy seating for Friday and Saturday, it is virtually impossible at this late date to get tickets for Preakness Day.

The infield is insane & is a huge Frat Party....if you want to get blitzed, that's the place to be, but not to watch racing.
