Preben Krabben fails to make a mark despite three shots
Preben Krabben, despite his consecutive three shots for the maximum, failed to materialise any of his prospective aims.
The county darts player failed to make his mark, as Greene King ODDA Section 1 emerged as the leader with Rose Hill embracing victory with a score line 7-2.
Goodlake Arms A got off to a good start, with players like Geordie Grant, Steve Pladdys and Terry Wood, providing an effective start to the team by establishing a 3-0 lead.
However, it was from here when their performance began to slump. Greene King made a comeback in the game by winning two consecutive games, levelling the scores at two all.
It was at this crucial position when Krabben scored a victory for Goodlake to maintain a deficit.
With the help of his back-to-back 180's Krabben was able to claim victory against Dave Witherwick.
However, the lead was only fleeting in nature, as Kevin Wilkins defeated Ray Pape to gain control.
On the flip side, Cowley Workers SC was able to convincingly claim victory, with a 6-3 score line over their opponents, Kidlington Green Social Club.
However, trumping all of them is Windrush Social Club that is literally devastating all its opponents.
Its latest victim has been Peachcroft Social Club that was demolished with a score of 9-0 by its monstrous opponents. Even from its nearest challenger in the list, it is 21 points ahead.
Along with this, George Bar claimed his potential in his matches against Carl Pitson and John Cole with a margin of 2-0, respectively.
However, he had to console himself with a 7-2 defeat that he faced at the hands of his rival Red Lions.
The team which was represented by Steve Willoughby, Mathew Brain (180), Jason Coates and Darren Hammond, with the help of their ingenious shot selection and bullseye targets, was easily able to gain an edge over its competitors.
Leaders Three Horseshoes further extended their span of advantage after they were able to clinch a 6-3 victory against Democrats Club.
Second in command, Corner House, was able to maintain its position after defeating Nuffield Lounge 5-4.
Darts games between different clubs have also been of immense value when it comes to tapping new resources of talent in the game on the whole.
