6. Determine the standard form of the equation of the line that passes through (9, -4) and (6, 4).

a) 3x + 8y = 60

b) 8x + 3y = -60

c) 8x - 3y = 60

d) 8x + 3y = 60

This is what I did:

4 - (-4)/ 6 - 9 = 8/-3

-4 = (8/-3)(9) + b

b = 20

And then I plugged everything into the slope intercept equation and simplified to get the standard form. This is what I got:

-8x - 3y = -60

My question: I can multiply by -1 to make everything positive, right? So the answer would be D?

I forgot... Haha, sorry, first week of school is kicking my butt.

If I'm wrong, please say why so I can understand in the future. Thanks!
