  1. 5sqrt(8x^3 / y^4) x 5sqrt(4x^4 / y^2)

You can combine the sqrt roots

    = 5sqrt(32x^7 / y^6)

The fifth root of 32 is 2

    = 2(5sqrt(x^7 / y^6)

    = 2(5sqrt((x^5)(x^2) / (y^5)(y))

Since 5th root of x^5 and y^5 are x and y, we can take them out and put them out front

    = (2x/y)(5sqrt(x^2/y))

Hope this helps you!  Please email anytime for further questions.

  2. multiply the fractions

32x^7/ y^6  since it's the 5th root, you can take out five of each

    2(x/y) 5th root (x^2/y)

  3. Please note, that although this is a wonderful example of mathematical prowess and thus a noble exercise, it by no means enters into advanced engineering or physics.
