  1. Sounds like you may be disabled, if you are, then you have medicare in your 25th month of disability and you can use that as your primary health coverage. You have the right under Cobra law to continue your insurance from your former employer; however, you must pay the premiums which are really expensive. That's why the law is in place, you cannot just lose your coverage if you are sick and need it.

  2. Independent Agent is right. You can exercise your COBRA benefits. Another thing you may look into is the high risk pool in your state ( most states have this). You may be able to get coverage through that. Good luck to you.

  3. keep calm and DO NOT LOOSE YOUR FAITH. Your FAITH is the only thing that will keep you going through this period. Remember doctors provide their opinion and GOD the final decision. Research alternative therapies for your condition and give them a try ,you might be surprised at the results. i just went through my first experience with hypertension- no ins also and alternative therapies have worked---and yes at the beginning SCARED. Do not loose your mind, control the stress level, and follow this :1. do what is necessary-2. do what is possible-and 3. pretty soon you will be doing  the impossible. Good luck and count with my prayers.

  4. Cobra.............

  5. it doesn't sound like you qualify for ESRD through medicare yet...

But you will have the option to elect COBRA.

  6. Well, if you're end stage renal failure, you'll qualify for Medicare.

Why did you lose your  health insurance from your employer?  If you can elect Cobra, you should.  If not, you'll have to see if your state has a high risk health pool.  It might cost you a bundle, but there would be coverage.

Or, you need to find a new employer, with health coverage.
