I happened to be looking at the snooker and pool questions and came across the term "predator shaft". Having always played snooker and pool with ordinary standard type cues I just wondered what is this new invention! I haven't played for a number of years and am completely out of touch so hope you'll excuse my ignorance.

  1. Predator is brand name of pool cue. The company is manufacturing the first Scientifically engineered cue. The cue was designed to reduce deflection. They start manufacturing cue in early 1990's. The first design was applied to a cue shaft built with eight piece stick. The first 5 inches of the shaft was engineered to reduce deflection, therefore making shooting more straighter with spin.

Today many other cues are compatible with Predator. Many Pro and Amatuer players now use Predator. Fortunately, Predator continue to produce new technology for billiard cue like vibrationless cue butt ( 5k series and P2 series) and finally jump cue and breaker with unique tip.

anyway, I can't tell you more of this. I think you should visit their website. There you can find more infromation about their product.

  2. Don't wast your money.  Anything anyone tells you about Predator shafts elevating their game is BS on the equipment level.  Its all in their head.  On that note, if you think it will help you it just may.  But not because it has super pool powers.  Its just multiple pieces of wood put together.  And Predator cues are hugely over priced.  You are just buying the name.  If you want quality cue, look into Jacoby, Peachour (spelling), Jackson, Joss, Schon.  Just whatever you do, do not by a McDermott unless it is an older model.  The new ones are junk and machine line made.

  3. predator makes pool cues, they are costly but very good

they make 2pc cues (butt and shaft), or you can buy just a predator shaft that will s***w onto the butt from any other cue maker.

so you get all the benifits of predators unique shaft making technologies without the expense of a whole predator cue.

the shaft is like $300, a whole predator cue can cost over $1000

they have a website, do a search for "predator cue" and you are sure to find it.

  4. Monkeys math is a little off but thats about it

    Mid line sticks $3-$5 hundred

    Shafts $130 to $180

Check them out they are for sale lots of diff prices
