Predicted Food shortage?

Question

Don't you think we are giving too much importance to production of non edible things than edible. Don't you consider that our obsession with new pampers in life has resulted in destruction of our farming land and construction of sky scrapers. I STRONGLY FEEL BECAUSE OF THE OVER EMPHASIS ON TOO MUCH MANUFACTURING OTHER THAN AGRICULTURE HAS BROUGHT US AT THE DOOR STEPS OF FAMINE IN NEAR FUTURE.

I call up on each one you to contribute in some way in reducing the polution in surrounding space where we live in what ever little way we can., like deciding not to use Plastic to the extend possible, try not to throw garbage where ever we feel, last but not least respect mother earth.

I love to quote asia conservation message appearing in NGC and discovery "Earth can satisfy our needs not our greeds"

I agree with you wholeheartedly.  I also think that what food we produce is in general not good for you- even the veggies have now been altered and chemically enhanced to the point of not being nutritious- but that we also waste so much!  We throw away so much food everyday and we have hungry people all over this world!  It is a shame that we are killing our planet and our people with it.  I do recycle.  This year we are going to have a garden, which is the first time in years for me.  I am doing my part- and teaching my kids to do the same.  One Earth is all we have, folks!
