Predicting the Starting 11 of Arsenal (Part 4)

Andrei Arshavin (Left Midfielder)
Andrei Arshavin is one of those players who have not been very consistent during their time at Arsenal. Even though his performance chart takes its ups and downs, he still managed to impress the fans with his amazing long shots as he has scored a lot of goals with them. The Russian player is deadly at the left position, even though he is a right footed player. He is not the only player who can play at that position as Carlos Vella, the new number 11 for the English club, is also a good option for Arsene Wenger. Even though Vella has performed pretty well, Arshavin is definitely going to be the first choice for the manager as he is more experienced and has helped the team many times, to get out of very ghastly situations. However, the Russian needs to perform well to keep his spot in the starting 11 as there are other players that can easily take his place and can be of assistance to the team. Andrei Arshavin has scored amazing goals throughout his career but can he keep his form this time round? Well, only time can answer these questions as the Premier League is going to start from the coming weekend and Arsenal are going to face their first opponent, Liverpool, at their home in Anfield.
Samir Nasri (Right Midfielder)
The French youngster can do wonders when the ball is given to him. He is definitely going to be a part of the first team for Arsenal as he has proven his talent time and again. Samir Nasri is one of those youngsters who have definitely impressed the fans during his run for the Gunners. Even though he was not included in the French team that went off for the FIFA World Cup 2010, Samir Nasri is still a priority for the English club. His first two seasons at Arsenal were very impressive and after his fabulous performance during the pre-seasons, Arsene Wenger believes that the French starlet is going to be an integral part of the English club. He definitely provides the team with great assists and goals as he is capable of making amazing runs inside the 18 yard box. He is mostly going to be used as a right winger because of his agility, pace and creativity. The way he can eye goals is like no other and therefore, he is going to be the first choice for the Gunners.
Robin Van Persie (Centre Forward)
If there was a player who changed the cause for Arsenal during the previous season, it was definitely the Dutch man, Robin Van Persie. Last year, Van Persie suffered a horrific injury and was unable to play for the Gunners for most of the season. When the season started, Arsenal showed the world what they were capable of as Van Persie helped in scoring most of the goals for the club, but later when he was injured there were not many replacements for the Dutch player. This year round, however, Arsenal have made proper adjustments and have signed an amazing striker, Chamakh. Arsenal can easily rely on Chamakh as he is also able to score a lot of goals as seen during the pre seasons. Robin Van Persie was a part of the Dutch squad during the FIFA World Cup 2010 but he was unable to score many goals and managed to bag himself just one. With Sneijder and Arjen Robben playing in the team, many expected Van Persie to score more than just a single goal but he was unable to impress during the FIFA World Cup 2010. When the final match took place, Van Persie was the sole striker for his country but he was unable to pass the Spanish defence and barely got the ball throughout the match. After losing the final match in the FIFA World Cup 2010, is Van Persie going to remain the same? Well, that is also a question that time is going to tell; but even with Van Persie going out of form, Arsene Wenger has signed Chamakh to help his team go through thick and thins.
