Predicting the Starting 11 of Inter Milan, Forward line analysis
Samuel Eto’o (Left Forward):
The former Barcelona man is full of speed, energy and power when he is playing on any side. Samuel Eto’o had an amazing season at the Spanish club, Barcelona, and he is currently having an amazing time at the Italian club, Inter Milan. The prolific striker was able to score 108 goals in only 145 appearances during his time in Barcelona, before he left for the Italian club.
Samuel Eto’o was involved in a swap deal with the Inter Milan sensation Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Barcelona offered Eto’o and some cash for the Swedish striker. The deal was struck and Ibrahimovic is currently playing for the Spanish giants while Samuel Eto’o is a part of the Italian club which recently won the Italian League and the Champions League.
Samuel Eto’o was a part of that particular season in Barcelona, in which they made a record of holding 6 trophies in the same year. They were able to win each and everything and they were victorious in all the competitions that they took part in. Now, Eto’o is a part of Inter Milan and he was able to win a treble for the club in his first season. That is truly sensational for a striker as he was able to help the team advance to this stage. Samuel Eto’o is a “must have” choice for Rafa Benitez and he is definitely going to feature in the starting 11 of the team.
Goran Pandev (Right forward):
The 27-year old is considered as a “key man” for his country’s team, Macedonia. The young starlet did not get much of a chance to shine for Inter Milan but in the previous season he got the chance to prove himself as he was able to start the game 6 times and was able to score a goal 3 times. The Macedonian is a pretty talented player and can actually do wonders with the ball if he settles on the pitch. He started his career in 2000 with Belasica, he was only 17-years old back then and was able to score 6 goals in only 18 appearances. Inter Milan saw the talented boy and bought him but without appearing for Inter, he was sent off on loan until he was sold out to Lazio. There he enjoyed his peak time where he was able to score 48 goals. Later, he was bought back by Inter Milan and is now currently one of the best right forwards that they have. There is not better option for Rafa Benitez to play as a right winger (striker), therefore, it is definitely going to be Goran Pandev who is going to feature for the Italian club this year.
Diego Milito (Centre Forward):
Milito is definitely the “key man” for Inter Milan as he has scored a lot of goals for the club in only a single year. The Argentinean man started his career from the “Racing Club,” and was able to score a few goals for them until he was transferred to Genoa where he impressed many. He was able to score 33 goals in only 59 appearances as he was in the starting line-up 42 times only. He is currently 31-years old and he can still enjoy his time in the Italian club as he is still able to score fabulous goals. During his time in Genoa, he was able to score 24 goals in only 31 appearances and just because of this amazing record Inter Milan bought the Argentinean striker back in 2009. The result was nothing but marvellous, Diego Milito, at the end of the season, had 22 goals in only 35 appearances. There were rumours that he is going to join his former boss Jose Mourinho in Real Madrid but that failed to happen. He was able to score twice during the final match against Bayern Munich due to which he became a part of the Argentinean squad in the FIFA World Cup 2010. Even though he did not get too much field time in the World Cup, he still managed to help the team win matches as they passed the ball around well. Diego Milito is the best centre forward Inter Milan has. They are definitely going to keep the player up front during this season, as he has the ability to score a lot of goals.
