Predicting the Starting 11 of Real Madrid (Part 3)

Xabi Alonso (Defensive Midfielder):
With Jose Mourinho being the manager of Real Madrid, it is obvious that he is going to concentrate on making the defence strong. Mourinho is famous for his defensive techniques as he does not let the opponents score on his team. With Xabi Alonso on his side, he is definitely going to make use of him. The former Liverpool player is famous for his long balls and defensive techniques. Xabi Alonso had a good season in Real Madrid and he wasn’t a total disaster like Kaka and Diarra. Alonso was also included in the first team of the Spaniards during the FIFA World Cup 2010. He was in good form throughout the FIFA World Cup 2010 as he was doing what he was supposed to do. He used to pass the ball around the field and used to take a shot on goal when he was supposed to. Mourinho is definitely going to make use of him as he is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world at the moment.
Sami Khedira (Defensive Midfielder):
The only reason why Jose Mourinho signed Khedira was because he can seriously make a huge impact on the defence “and” the attack of the team. He was the FIFA World Cup 2010’s German sensation as he was included in the first team of Germany and was able to assist them with amazing victories against Argentina and England. Sami Khedira impressed many during the FIFA World Cup 2010 as he was alongside Schweinsteiger and they both combined really well to pass the ball around for their attackers, who then managed to score goals for them. Khedira is not only a good defensive midfielder, in fact, he can also run fast for a counter attack and can create amazing chances for the team to score goals. With players like Cristiano Ronaldo also included in the team, and with pace like Angel Di Maria on the wings; Real Madrid are definitely going to consider Khedira as their defensive midfielder as he is going to feed the team with amazing through balls so that the attackers can score goals. Real Madrid are also trying to get Mesut Ozil, who was also a fabulous Germany player in the FIFA World Cup 2010 and was playing alongside Sami Khedira.
Rafael van der Vaart (Centre Attacking Midfielder):
Definitely one of those players that Real Madrid should not let go of; Van der Vaart is one of those players who actually managed to impress many during the FIFA World Cup 2010. He was not included in the starting line-up of the Netherlands squad but whenever he came on the field to play for his country, he definitely made a difference. During the match against the Uruguayans, the Dutch were struggling until it was actually Van der Vaart who came in to save the day for his team mates. He was all over the midfield and passed the ball around with Sneijder and Robben to create chances for goal scoring opportunities. Soon it was seen that his amazing corner was sent home by Sneijder’s head and the Dutch won the match 3-2 to qualify for the semi finals. Van der Vaart, however, did not get much field time during the previous season as the Brazilian mastermind, Kaka, was injured. This year round, Kaka is suffering from an injury again and if he does not recover, then it is definitely going to be Van der Vaart who is going to take his place. Jose Mourinho definitely needs a player who can move to the centre to create chances and then move forward so that he can shoot the ball on target. The amazing real Madrid midfielder has been in a bad form throughout the previous season but that was mostly because of his knee injury that he took during the match against Sevilla, in which he even managed to score the winning goal. If Kaka is not fit then it is definitely going to be Rafael Van der Vaart to save the day for the Spanish giants.
