Predicting the Starting 11 of Real Madrid (Part 4)
Cristiano Ronaldo (Left Winger):
The former Manchester United star has been one of those players who have actually settled really well for the Spanish team. When he was transferred to the Spanish club, many thought that he is not going to be a success in the Spanish La Liga, but soon the fans saw him scoring goals. During the pre season, it was all Ronaldo, Kaka and Benzema but later on the fans saw how Kaka and Benzema failed to impress while Ronaldo was at his best and was scoring crucial goals for the club. Ronaldo managed to bag 34 goals in only 36 appearances and basically stole the spotlight of every match that he played for the Spanish giants. Even though Ronaldo could not really help Real Madrid win the matches against Barcelona, he still managed to impress in other crucial matches such as the match against Sevilla and Valencia. Real Madrid only suffered a loss to Sevilla except Barcelona, who were later crowned as the Champions of the Spanish League. Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of the Portuguese team did not really have a very good FIFA World Cup 2010. Out of the 7 goals that Portugal scored in the match against Korea; Ronaldo could only score one however, he was able to assist most of them. Cristiano Ronaldo is definitely a “one man army,” as he can seriously help his team win the match with his amazing performance. With such a good goal-scoring record this season, he is definitely going to be a part of the first team of Jose Mourinho, who totally “adores” the Portuguese player.
Angel Di Maria (Right Winger):
Angel Di Maria is a young Argentinean player who was bought from Benfica. Benfica is a Portuguese club who have made great players and Di Maria is definitely one of them. He managed to impress Diego Maradona while he was choosing a “perfect” FIFA World Cup 2010 side. He was included in the squad along with players like Lionel Messi, Carlos Tevez, Maxi Rodriguez and Gonzalo Higuain. Di Maria is going to be a part of Real Madrid as a right winger as he was playing for Argentina. He is going to combine with his Argentinean team-mate Gonzalo Higuain and is definitely going to be productive for the Spanish Club. The newly signed youngster already said great words about his coach, Jose Mourinho and said that he respects his decisions as he is “the special one!” Angel Di Maria is definitely going to be a “great” asset for the team and with young and pace-full wingers such as Maria and Ronaldo, the team is going to attack and score a lot of goals.
Gonzalo Higuain (Centre Forward):
Gonzalo Higuain is going to be the centre forward for the Spanish side as he has had a great goal scoring record in the previous season and even in the FIFA World Cup 2010. Even though most of the goals that he scored were all just “tapped-in” by him, he still managed to find the net 4 times during the FIFA World Cup 2010 and 22 times in the Spanish La Liga. Gonzalo Higuain is a great asset for the team and even though Karim Benzema is in the substitute list he is still going to be on the bench as Higuain has definitely impressed the most. He was able to score many goals and he was the only player, besides Cristiano Ronaldo, who was consistently scoring goals for the Spanish giants. Even though it was Higuain who missed many chances against Lyon during the Champions League; the match that Real Madrid eventually lost and their dreams of winning the title on their home ground were shattered. The young Argentinean striker scored the “only” hat-trick of the FIFA World Cup 2010 and it came off during the group stages, against the Asian team, Korea. With such a good goal scoring record, Higuain is definitely going to be a part of the first-team.
