Predictions ahead of the 2011 National Hockey League Play-offs - Part 3

There will be one suspension for sure during the first round series between the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens:

The two franchises have developed quite a big rivalry recently with the close and physical show downs they have come up with. Last year’s series turned out to be very thrilling and it was the seventh game that decided that future of the teams. In the end,
it was the Boston Bruins who managed to edge past the Montreal Canadiens. Nevertheless, this resulted in things heating up even further between the two teams and now given the close series that the teams had during course of the regular season makes this tie
even more exciting.
Everyone is waiting for the series to start and this is one tie that will attract fans from all over the National Hockey League no matter which team they support. If this tie is close and competitive as the previous one then expect this to be one of the
classic series in the history of the National Hockey League and the two franchises.
The recent few games have also been very physical and nasty, with this comes the factors of the power-play and suspension. Though there will be loads of power-plays, but the biggest predictions related to the series is that there will be a suspension during
the series. The teams have been unable to control their emotions on ice when facing each other and this year it will be no different. The Bruins will be looking to crush the Canadiens once again and make their way into the Final which they missed after a disappointing
showdown in the semi-finals.
On the other hand, the Canadiens will be hoping to avenge their defeat last year that knocked them out of the play-offs. The numbers of suspensions are not restricted to be only one but it is predicted that there will be “at least” one suspension during
the series which means that the tally can rise depending on how far the series goes.
Anyhow, this is will be one of the nasty but still entertaining series in the play-offs and one that shouldn’t be missed considering the chance that each team has of winning the Stanley Cup.
All four seeded teams last in the Eastern Conference have a very great chance of winning their first round series:
The Eastern Conference was very close during the course of the season. This can be seen from the fact that the Philadelphia Flyers occupied the top spot in the Conference for quite some time, but they were unable to win and it was the Washington Capitals
who made their way to the top of the ladder and won the Conference in the end.
The added advantage that the teams currently occupying the last four seeds in the Eastern Conference, is the fact that they have game winning goal-keepers. These players can carry the entire weight of the team on their shoulders and take them across a game
and even a series win.
Canadiens’ goalie, Carey Price has been brilliant in the regular season and if he can continue to do what he has been doing so far then expect a tremendous series out of him and success for the squad no matter which ever team they face. Pekka Rinne of the
Nashville Predators is another example in this case.
