Predictions for Bayern Munich, Midfield analysis (Part 3)
Mark Van Bommel:
The 33-year old made it to the FIFA World Cup 2010 and put on a good show throughout the tournament. The amazing holding midfielder can also play a defensive role when the team needs him at the back. He is definitely a player who can help the team at the back and at the front as he can move throughout the whole pitch to assist the defenders and the strikers, both. He wasn’t the heart of the midfield in the Dutch team but he is definitely the heart of the midfield when it comes down to his club, Bayern Munich.
Louis Van Gaal will definitely utilise his experience and talent. Van Bommel has also played with Louis Van Gaal during their time in Barcelona and they both understand each other well when it comes down to big games. Van Bommel is definitely one of the best defensive midfielders in the world but now since he is 33 years old, he lacks a bit of stamina. This year he is not going to sit on the bench because he is a key player for the German club.
Bastian Shweinsteiger:
The other amazing holding force that the German club has is definitely Bastian Shweinstegier. He has amazing stamina and quick feet to help his team throughout the match. Shweinsteiger was definitely the best defensive midfielder in the FIFA World Cup 2010. He was one of the players in the young squad of Germany, who used to run throughout the match and cover approximately 7 km in one match. He used to go forward to help his strikers with amazing assists and he used to fall back to the central defensive midfield position to mark his man.
The amazing German youngster was voted as the best holding midfielder of the FIFA World Cup 2010 and is definitely the best defensive midfielder in the world, at the moment. He definitely comes in line with other holding players such as Javier Mascherano of Liverpool and Yaya Toure, the former Barcelona player, and now playing in the English club, Manchester City. Being a holding midfielder is a rare quality and Shweinsteiger definitely has what it takes to be one. Louis Van Gaal is going to make him his first team player this year round and he will help them win matches.
Frank Ribery:
Some call him “over rated,” but Frank Ribery is definitely a player that the team can rely on. Ribery is amazing at the left flank and he can make amazing runs inside the box to help his team score goals. He is not only a player, who can assist the centre forwards with great through balls, in fact, he can also cut in from the left flank to score goals himself. Ribery has been a part of many football clubs but he became famous during his time in the German club, Bayern Munich. There are still many clubs who are after him but he chose to stay in the best German club and is still playing for them. Louis Van Gaal is definitely going to use him in the first team whenever they face tough competition.
He is 27-years old and is currently enjoying his peak time. The French player did not have a good FIFA World Cup experience. As the French team was unable to win a single match and came back after a disappointing run in the tournament. France was knocked out of the FIFA World Cup 2010 after the group stages and they were the first team to be out of the tournament. Even though France did not perform well in the FIFA World Cup, Frank Ribery was seen dribbling the ball and he even found the net while many other super stars came back home goalless. Ribery is definitely going to be the first choice player for Louis Van Gaal and he is also a key player for the German club.
