Predictions for Inter Milan, Midfield Analysis
Esteban Cambiasso (Defensive Midfielder):
The Italian team, Inter Milan are famous for their defence and this is because of the fact that they utilize their “defensive midfielders.” Cambiasso is definitely one of those players that Inter Milan is going to utilize for this position. The player has definitely proven himself time after time by scoring crucial goals and by saving them too. His ability to move forward for scoring goals along with his defensive skills and the way he passes the ball, is simply mind blowing. Despite his old age, he still manages to run around the field and help his team win matches.
Esteban Cambiasso is a former Real Madrid player and played for the Spanish side for 2 years straight. He then joined Real Madrid again after 4 years and played for them for another 2 years until he joined Real Madrid in 2004. Since then he has been at the “heart” of Inter Milan as he has helped the team go through their crucial moments as he has scored 23 important goals for the club. Esteban Cambiasso knows what his job is as a holding midfielder and he helps the team block the opponent’s attacks in the centre midfield. Cambiasso is definitely the best man for the job and Rafa Benitez has no better option than him. Therefore, he is going to be a part of the first team as a holding midfielder.
Thiago Motta (Centre Midfielder):
Another Brazilian player in the Inter Milan squad, Thiago Motta takes the role of  a Centre Midfielder for the Italian Champions. Motta started his career with Juventus but later became a part of the Spanish giants, Barcelona. He spent 8 years with the Spanish club and was able to score only 17 goals in 180 appearances. During the 2001 and 2002 UEFA Champions League, Motta helped the team reach the semi finals and later in 2002 he even helped them win the Spanish League. Later, Motta went on to join Athletico Madrid and is now playing for the Italian club Inter Milan since the past 1 year.
He started his Italian career from Genoa but now he is a part of Inter Milan. The 27-year old was not even considered as a part of the 23-man squad in Dunga’s Brazilian side during the FIFA World Cup 2010. He was a part of the club during their amazing run in 2009, when they won the Champions League and 2 other cups for their first ever treble. It was Thiago Motta who earned the red card against the Spanish team Barcelona but the replays clearly showed that Sergio Busquets over exaggerated his reaction. Motta is definitely a first choice for Rafa Benitez, as he is capable of playing wonderful through balls.
Wesley Sneijder (Attacking Midfielder):
Definitely one of the best attacking midfielders in the world, Wesley Sneijder has helped his club and his international team reach great heights. This year round, Sneijder is definitely a big contender for the “player of the year” award. He managed to score 5 goals during his amazing run in the FIFA World Cup 2010.
Even though he plays in the attacking midfield position, he still managed to score 5 goals but did not manage to get a golden boot award as Thomas Muller (Germany) was able to pull off more assists than Wesley Sneijder. Sneijder helped his team, Netherlands, reach the final of the FIFA World Cup 2010 and he also helped his team, Inter Milan win the Champions League and the Italian League. Wesley Sneijder is definitely one of the best attacking midfielders in the business and he is definitely going to be a part of the first team when Inter Milan names their first team for the Italian League.
