Wanted a girl when I was pregnant but when my son arrived I was over the moon. I love being the mum of a boy now and wouldn't change anything!

Of course first things first I'd like healthy children but ideally I would like a boy first and then I don't mind after that, I'd like a boy first because he'd look after his younger brothers and sisters!

I wanted a son.  Not just because I am not in the least bit girly, but because I happen to have a female-oriented disease that has a 90% chance of being passed on to female children.  So in a way it was selfish, but more so I didn't want to pass on a lifetime of problems.

I've always seen myself as having a boy first. Just something I think will happen, a feeling i guess.

I'd be happy with either though. I think both gender of children have a lot to offer and can be very rewarding.

My dad always wanted a girl and got me. I'm an only btw. He raised me so that I can be strong, outdoorsy and use tools to fix things. I can do anything a boy can. He always says I'm the best of both worlds.

Guess it just depends on how you raise the baby you get. Boys can be raised to be gentle and caring just like girls. Its all in how you bring them up what kind of girl/boy they will be.

I have no patience with small children, but boys are far worse.

Can't ever see myself wanting kids though.

they are just so much easier to deal with.

My niece is a perfect angel is smart and sweet.

I have a 2 year old son and i love him to death but he is just pure EVIL at times...

I have both and very happy! If I had 2 sons I would be very happy if I had two daughters I would be very happy! Didn't make a difference to me. They are my children.

Of course I would take whatever I received but if I had to pick I would pick a son...

They seem easier to handle in the sense that they can't come home pregnant ;)

Well i have twins a boy and a girl and i prefer each the same i don't think any mum could choose a child over the other its pretty mean

I would love either no matter what.

But if I could choose for certain, I would want a baby girl, that way I can put her in tiny ballet slippers, and teach her in my dance classes:)

It wouldn't make a difference. If I have a daughter in the future, I buy presents for her and husband carries them. If I have a baby boy, husband buys and I'll help carry, but no guarantees.

If I already had a son I would prefer another son and vice-versa because they can play together and not argue so much.

Personally, if I were to have a child, I would want it to be a girl.

She could relate to me more, and it would seem like more fun raising her and talking to her.

Mind you, I wouldn't mind having a boy... but my first choice would most definitely be a female.

If they have 1 boy  and 1 girl.  The Girl will get all the Praises and Glories. The Boy would be left out..  Trust me, I have seen it many of times.

I would prefer a boy as my first, this is mostly because I rather deal with a teenage male than a teenage female. :P
