Preference for Butler in Racing Post Form With Totepool Mobile Handicap Hurdle at Worcester
The bettors should not be reluctant to take a chance on former useful Flat-racer, Butler, who is open to improvement on his handicap hurdle debut.
Trained by Tim Vaughan, the 5-year-old is a skilful runner, and can put his journey on the right track in the Racing Post Form With Totepool Mobile Handicap Hurdle, being held at Worcester on Tuesday, September 11th.
Under Richard Johnson, he made his seasonal debut on a high note. The audience at Hereford saw him ending up third in the Bulmers Novices' Hurdle in mid June. The 11-4 chance led early on, but failed to retain his advantage.
Bred by Darley, the son of Noverre had every chance of dominating in the final stages, but getting weakened did not help his cause. He showed another good performance in patches in July. In the hands of Robert Kirk, Butler took keen hold in the beginning,
but lost place after fifth hurdle.
A massive mistake in the final moments allowed others to take the game away from him and as a result, he finished seventh in the John Crabbie's Cloudy Ginger Beer Conditional Jockeys' Maiden Hurdle at Uttoxeter.
Although victories are not coming to his way, a return to handicap company can work as an advantage for him. According to the preset plan, the meeting will be begun at 17:40 GMT. The going is good for the 2-mile meeting, which carries a cash prize worth
£2,224. Including Butler, there are 15 entries in the class 4 race.
Coffee has not shown anything special since making a wonderful debut. Jonjo O'Neill’s charge was fourth on his previous two outings. However, he is expected to show some improvement on his handicap debut.
Jawhary was third last time, and has good claims if the headgear continues to work. Schumpters Lad should be respected after close second last time out. Woodlark Island needs change of headgear to provoke a response. Tresor De Bontee may have been flattered
by proximity when third last time out.
A few of the contestants do have solid claims, but the punters should stick with Butler, who is useful on Flat, and open to improvement in the handicap company. Good luck to all the horses.
