I prefer an SLR over the usual point & shoot digital camera. And, if I could afford it, I'd prefer a Digital SLR over a film-based SLR.

I own the Nikon D80 DSLR and let me tell you, this is a great camera, no more sending off film...and at 10.2 MP I can make poster size prints.... definatly a DSLR
