Pregnancy Due Date !!?

Well...my wife probably got pregnant on July 29 since her last period starter on July 15. I went to these due date calenders and they mentioned that her due date is probably April 21 and that she is 6 weeks pregnant !! how is that...her due date should be April 29 and she is now practically 3 weeks pregnant.....why the difference ? Is the online calendar right?

Yes, they count how far along you are by the first day of your last period, noone really knows what day they acually concieved. Sothey count from the first day from your last period and then count 40 weeks from that day and thats your due date. so if her last day was July 15th then her due date should be April 15th. But since you dont know when you concieved or when you are acually going to deliver they est. the 40 weeks. And I think they acually do add a week to it, cause you normally dont ovulate til a week after your period, and when you ovulate thats when you can get pregnant during that week of time. So it sounds right to me, what the dr says. so she is 5 weeks 1 day.

Second Trimester Ends:(27 weeks):Tuesday, January 20, 2009

Oh and as of today: 5.1 weeks pregnant( 5 weeks & 1 day)

Since there is no "real" way to tell exactly when a woman gets pregnant they calculate from the first day of her last period and count forward 40 weeks approximately.

count forward 7 days from her last menstral period, and count back 3 months or forward 9 months:  So:  LMP- july 15th--  due date=   april 22       ofcourse due dates are only an estimate......

The best way to determine a due date is through an ultrasound. Have your wife see a doctor ASAP, they will determine the date of conception and due date based on the size of the embryo. Congrats, Dad!
