Pregnancy? Just feeling ill? PLEASE help!?

So to start, I'll say that I am on the pill. I know it's very effective, but I do have a bad tendency to worry a lot. =/ I'm using Tri-cyclen.

From what I recall, the most recent times I've had s*x were on July 31st and on August 4th. Or somewhere around there.. I don't exactly keep track, lol.

Anyways, my period usually comes on the plcebo week of my pills, so the last row of the pack. On the first day of the placebos, Sunday August 10th, I woke up at around 5 AM to find my underwear bloody. I started to clean myself up, but there was no more blood. After a few days, I didn't bleed any more, so I decided to take a pregnancy test. It came negative. And then, of course, an hour after taking the test, I started my period and it was really normal.

But for the past while, I've been feeling weird. I get frequent stomach aches, moments of nausea, and overall weird abdominal/stomach feelings. Just last night, on August 22nd, I took another test ( Clearblue ) to try to surpress my worries, and it also came out negative. I feel less worried, but my stomach and lower abdominals continue to feel weird, and I've been feeling sort of nauseous on and off.

It's very doubtful I'm pregnant, right? Could it just be a mild stomach sickness?

  1. You are just having a few of the many side effects of birth control.

  2. Often times women don't veven 'feel' syptoms till after they know , or about a month pregnant. Others do, but keep that in mind. Think about how many women feel nausea randomly that aren't pregnant,.. it's not that every time. It's hard not to worry though.

  3. its highly unlikely your pregnant,as you have had negative tests and are on bc pills, when i was on combined pills like you,i occasionally also felt pregnant, even had sickness, hard stomach, missed periods!(all side effects of the pill) on the pill because you are swallowing hormones each day you get alot of pregnancy symtpoms, when due on or even in the middle of your cycle!

    goodluck xxxx

  4. I am in your same situation.. with the same Birth control pill. I have been on the pill about 6 months now. and Im starting to think that they might be side effects. I also get slightly nauseous on and off, have been feeling more bloated than ever, and cant stand my cramps. I thought i might be pregnant too.. but all the tests showed negative and  got my normal period when supposed to. I think its time we both go to the Doc and make pill changes :)

  5. I think it's unlikely you're pregnant. There are so many other symptoms that you haven't mentioned, and so many things that make less likely to be pregnant: two negative tests, really normal period, on the pill.

The bleeding could be caused by stress, as the 'symptoms' you've been having. Have you changed your diet lately? Sleep pattern? Anything big going on in your life otherwise?

Of course, your pregnancy hormone levels might still be too low for the test to pick it up, so you might've had false negatives, but still... if you're really worried, you should see the doc. :)
