Question:

Pregnancy Problems??

My wife and I are trying to get pregnant, but to no avail.

In the end of May she got off her birth control (Nuva Ring), and since then we have been having unprotected s*x at least 3-4 times a week. Her July period came about three weeks later than normal and her periods are always consistently the same week each month.

Every so often she will feel nauseous in the morning and she has begun to eat a lot more...and I mean a h**l of a lot more! But everytime we take a test it always comes out negative.

I am a type 1 diabetic and was wondering if that could be anything to do with it? Also I know what everybody is going to say we should go see her gynecologist, but we don't want to waste the money for no good reason.

Is there anywhere that they do cheap or free fertility test?

Thanks.

  1. Diabetes shouldn't have any effect on conception.

Try buying an ovulation predictor if you haven't tried that.  My sister tried for 8 months before buying one, and then BAM she got pregnant the first time she used one.

If you still don't have any luck, go to a sperm bank.  I think they can analyze sperm for less money.

    Best to you.

  2. i think there are cheaper fertility tests you can actually get from a pharmacy. as far as accuracy i would start checking websites! i dont think you being diabetic would have anything to do with it... who knows maybe this is it her symptoms sound like they could be... i would get a pregnacy test to take the first day of her period if its neg. and  if she doesnt get her period  within three days after it do another one. good luck!
