I just wanted to know how many altrasounds do you get to have during your pregnancy.........I had 2 so far the last one I had was to see how far along i was and to see how good the my baby was growin...I ask the the person that was doin the altrasound if she can check and see what i was having...ok I was 17weeks prego She said I was having a girl I ask her 4 times are you sure its a girl she was like it dont look like a boy lol so I ask her how sure r u she said 80% sure...since she said 80% I want to have another altrasound to be sure its a girl cuz im having my baby shower soon well in october...I have a doctor appointment in september if i ask 4 a altrasound do you think they will do it???? What do you think I should do???

  1. Usually a doctor only refers you to the ultrasounds you need (which on average is about 2 per pregnancy, considering everything is healthy etc..)

    But you can go for the private option, usually 3d/4d ultrasounds you don't need a referral for, it will just cost you extra money, that won't be covered by insurance, so basically out of pocket.


  2. They will do an ultrasound around 20 weeks give or take a couple to see the growth and to find out the s*x of your baby. I do know that they are going to do more for you. Just when they will is the question. You will have one closer to the end of  your pregnancy to have the growth and fluid levels checked. I would just ask your doctor all they can say is no. The 4/d ultrasound is the greatest thing ever. If you can afford it then I would do it!

  3. i have ultrasounds every two weeks because im having identical twins (so they need to monitor for tttts) i also got the ''80% sure'' but at 18 weeks.they can be wrong just remember that ultrasounds alone are not 100% accurate they do make mistakes so next time you have an ultrasound ask to see about the s*x.
