Pregnancy Tests.....?

Question

Ok im curresntly 12 days late on my period and i have yet to get a positive! I was calling the doctor today to schedule an appt. for a blood test when they actually told me that i needed to wait 14 days ( 2 weeks ) after my missed period to test because its really unlikely to get one before then! My question is if this is really true! Are you really supposed to wait 2 weeks untill after your missed period to test?

No, you can tell earlier than that. One time, I tested 2 days before my missed period and got a positive. This is probably just the standard for your doctor's office. I hear that their pee tests aren't as good as the ones over the counter!

No they even make test that you can take 5 days before your missed period

no i make the test one day before missing my period ..and my baby is 7 month now...no need 4 blood test...it seems this doctor is stupid,change him

no..i got a positive 3 days after i missed my period and i went to the doctors the day after and got a test done...came out positive and then went back 4 days later and got a blood test just to make sure ((idk why but w/e haha)) so i was only 8 days late when they did the blood test...it might be different depending on where u go and what state u live in...idk sorry...good luck though and i hope u are pregnant!! :)

I tested two days before and I got a super dark line with a home pregnancy test.. women are different and the most sure way of finding out is via blood test and they can do it as soon as ONE week after you miss your period.  That is what my OB gyn said.  if they won't give you any and it kills you to wait,  then try a different doctor, even a family doctor can give you a request for a blood pregnancy test.. I know how horrible it is to wait this is why I am telling you these.. I have been there ... I hope you find a doctor to order a blood test for you soon :0) and I hope you get what you wish for...
