Question:

Pregnancy acupuncture points I can press myself to help induce (bring on) labor?

Ive found the names of some points I can stimulate but need a chart to see where they are located:

CO4

SP6

GB21

UB or "BL" 31,32,33,34,60,67

KI6

Any help would be much appreciated :)

  3. Acupuncture doesn't do anything, so it won't help.  Make sure you don't hurt the baby by massing around in the wrong spot on your body.

  4. Actually GB21 is in the middle of your shoulder on the top. If your full term it won't hurt to press some points on your body, but it probably won't induce labor if the baby is not ready to come. The other one I know of is actually K1 which is on the bottom of your foot, underneath the second toe where the arch begins. You can also rub the ankles. These are all things your not supposed to do if pregnant, unless full term. I could tell you where all these points are but I really don't think they will stimulate labor. In my shiatsu class we were only told of the two I mentioned, and I've done some extensive study myself on this subject (a friend was overdue) Good luck!
