Pregnancy after taking BC pill for 10 years?

Question

I've been taking the BC pill for almost 10 years and quit it in the beginning of july for TTC. I know my cycle will take time to be regular (wasn't regular before BC). I'm a week late, having a couple of symptoms (are they in my head?), but test is negative... :-(

How many of you have been pregnant early after quitting BC pill?

When I got pregnant with my daughter I had been on it for almost 10 years as well and got pregnant the first month.   I also got pregnant on the pill (2 skipped pills) once, so everyone is different.  I hope you get the positive you are hoping for!

Three of my friends got pregnant their first month off BCPs, after taking it for more than 10 years.  I on the other hand have been TTC#1 for 18 months so it's highly dependent on your own body.  The thing that helped me know my body and my cycle best was to chart my temps.  You might try that to make sure you're ovuating now that you're off the pill.  Unfortunatly early pregnancy signs are the same as PMS signs so it's really difficult to tell...good luck!!!

i was on the pill for 7 years come off it and my 1st period was over a week late with symptoms of pregnancy sore breast mood swings nausea ect with a negative test i had a blood test done as i was sure i was pregnant but that come out negative as well, if i was you i would test again in a weeks time if still negative maybe go to your doctor, as some woman do get pregnant straight away but with me it took 7 months to get my cycle back to normal and 3mths to fall pregnant after that, good luck with the out come x

I too have heard of success stories ranging from the first month to several months later. I am a strong believer in thinking positive thoughts and hope though :]
