Pregnancy and dreams?

I am not a person who generally pays much attention to my dreams. I am 16 weeks pregnant and for the past week or so I have this recurring dream that I am pregnant with twins. One is a boy and one is a girl. It seems like something always goes wrong with one or the other though and I only end up with one. Does this mean anything or am I just being worrysome?

  1. It's VERY common for pregnant women to have dreams about harm falling upon their unborn children when they enter the world, or while they remain in the womb.

The simple explination is that this dream isn't trying to tell you that you are going to be pregnant with twins, or that any baby of yours will be ill.

The dream is just an expression of your worries & fears concerning your baby. If you have thought of twins, or the possibility of twins, this dream is a reflection of that.

Also, If you have been contemplating the baby's s*x, or what s*x you'd prefer for the baby (if you have a preference or maybe if your husband has a preference - you are worrying about that) then this dream could also be a result of that - your internal argument subconsciously over what you (or hubby) want the s*x of the baby to be (this is why something goes wrong with one or the other - b/c you know you are only pregnant with one, and so can only have one - but the mystery of which s*x it is, creates a lot of anxiety in your dream - causing one child to die).

  2. Deff don't take just my word for this, but I have a 9 month old son, and during my pregnancy (which was my first) I also had dreams of having twins and had dreams about things happening to myself and the baby and things like that, and I only had one child and both of us were both fine and healthy, so I am going to say that you are just being worrysome, especially if this is your first.
