Pregnancy and reserving hospital for delivery?

Hello. I just arrived in the UK and am 3 months pregnant. I will be giving birth in January. I would like to know if I have to reserve a hospital room already now for when I am due to deliver. I am from Holland, and there one needs to reserve a room beforehand. Is that the case in the UK aswell? Ifo so, how does it work? Many thanks.

No....you will be on a communal ward unless you are paying to go private...register with a G.P. (general practitioner)...you can find your nearest one easily...just google DOCTORS SURGERYS and the name of your town or street....register with them and they will help you do the rest.

when you go to see your midwife she will ask you what hospital you would like to go to
