Pregnancy and uninsured?

I just recently found out that I am pregnant, which my boyfriend and I were not expecting. I think I am about 6 wks along but have not been diagnosed by a doctor. Problem is, I don’t currently have insurance. I am just wondering if anyone knows of an insurance company that would insurance a preexisting pregnancy or if anyone has any suggestions that might help my situation.

Insurance is not for events such as pregnancy, especially for people who aren't even married. What do you want next, auto insurance to cover oil changes, so that prices will skyrocket for all of us?

medicaid and if you get medicaid it goes back three months so it will pay for whatever bills you get by going to a doctor now. which is important that you go to a doctor and get prenantal care. if you live in the US and you make too much money for medicaid the you should be able to get Family health plus the only difference is that you have a co pay.

If you dont make alot you could see if you could go on state insurance. If you call social services they can usually point you in the right direction. If not get insurance and then go see a doc. If there isnt any medical proof that you knew you were pregnant theres nothing they can do.

if u live in the usa then it's called Medicaid...if you don't i don't know what to tell you...

Many states have programs for uninsured pregnant women, they will insure you for the entire pregnancy and the baby afterward.  Check with your local social services department.  Also, I googled pregnancy help and found tons of info about obtaining insurance while pregnant.

Yes, like the ohters said  go apply for Medicaid. Also, if you were having s*x then you had to be expecting to get pregnant, at least a little bit since abstinance is the only 100% sure way to NOT  get pregnant.  Goodluck applying for medicaid.
