Just a curous question, why is it that UTIs are common in pregnant women (according to pregnancy books)? You'd think with the amount of water we drink and the number of times we go to the toilets our bladders and the rest would be healthier than ever...

I don't have one, just a question that popped into my head

  1. That is true what dawn is saying. I was pregnant before and i lost my baby and i still have them you will have them until a couple of weeks after you have your baby or lose your baby every pregnant female gets one. I lost my baby 08/06/08 and I have been bleeding every since. It wont stop until next month.

  2. They're common because during pregnancy, the hormones that sustain the pregnancy make it harder for a woman to empty her bladder completely.

  3. ive had two so far and my doctor said its bc even though we drink alot of water we also have to use the bathroom more and its very easy to get dehydrated
