Pregnancy question...again..?

Haha, ok. I didn't want to write this out fully in the question box because I feel really stupid and we have a bunch of jokers today.

My fiance is taking my daughter and I to the beach tomorrow for 2 or 3 days. I remember in my last pregnancy, the water made my nipples sting so bad, and they were so sore and stingy-like for a couple days. That was when I was only 2 or 3 months pregnant.

Do you think that this will happen now that I am 5 months pregnant? I haven't been to the beach since I have gotten pregnant, and now I'm afraid! I have already gone throught the sore b***s phase. My nipples are kind of itchy, I'm thinking because they are dry, so i'll put that Li something cream on to help.

Just wondering what you guys think?

Thank you!

  1. well i'm not pregnant but i don't think salt water has anything to do with it. i know that some bathing suits, even with padded insides can scrape against the nipples. the waves pushes you around and that's what hurts them. they can be sore on there own but i don't think the beach will do anything.

hope i helped and best of luck!

    :)

  2. ok when you get into the shower do they hurt. because mine hurt in the shower and hurt twice as bad when i got in to the pool but i am only 13 weeks along

so i hope that would help.

  3. It may still sting. When I was pregnant with my first son one soap (Irish Spring) would always burn my nipples I thought it was because I was lactating or  something minor.  But when I was pregnant with my second a different soap (Dial) it burn them again. I asked my OB/GYN he said I developed  a perinatal allergy. Check it out.

  4. What happened last time you were pregnant sound like a very common discomfort, as of course your nipples are more sensitive due to your pregnancy and your body getting ready to breast feed. So you can not prevent it as its very naturally what i would do is if you feel a slight  stinging sensation to leave the water straight away as yo could catch an infection. If you planning to breast feed it could be dangerous. I hope this help just keep a cream for dry skin this could help with stinging pains.. Maybe were a plaster around your nipples to give some protection.

  5. Cant hurt to put on the cream if your scared. Might as well  :) my nipples itched too about that time also.

  6. I can't answer your question sorry but when i was breast feeding my nipples used to get so sore i nilly switched to formula so many times till i found this cream called MARCALAN soothing nipple care its kinda like a thick wax so maybe it will be like barrier keeping the water of or maybe some of them big water proof band-aids i donno hope i was some help
