Pregnancy test after 10 minutes....?

It says to not read a pregnancy test after 10 minutes... what is wrong with the test after 10 minutes... I read my test a little after 10 mins n it showed a faint line in the positive spot... whats this mean?

It means your not suppose to look at it after 10 min, disregard. Its the evaporation line.

It means you are pregnant...even a slight line is a line. My husband didn't believe me, when I saw a really slight line on my first pregnancy test. and now I am 36 weeks pregnant!! Congrats!

That is why you shouldn't read it after 10 minutes. That is where many of your false positives come from. There is a bleed through that occurs after 10 minutes which can cause it to read as a positive test and it really isn't.

You are not supposed to read your test results after 10 minutes, because by that time your urine is drying and it can cause an evaporation line, which is often mistaken as a positive. You need to retest in the morning and read your result within the time limit.

take another test ....but i think your pregnant .I'm mother of 4 and that happen to me 2 times.

Usually any line at all in the pregnant spot means youre pregnant.  But if you are worried, buy another test or go to the doctor for a blood test.  Doesnt matter if the line is faint though, thats a positive.

Angelmom is correct.  After 10 minutes the test becomes null and void. It's no longer an accurate test.  If the second line didn't appear until after the 10 minute mark, you aren't pregnant.

You need to take another and read it after 5 minutes.  They tell you to not to read it after 10 because you will always get an evaporation line positive after a certain amount of time.  It being right at the 10 minute mark I would say it could be a real positive, but I would take another to be sure.
