  1. If possible, have the events scheduled with a couple of hours between each one. That way you can go back to the hotel and rest in between. Be sure to drink plenty of water the whole time! Also, make sure you bring some snack bars or something to snack on throughout the day. When you go places look for Pregnant Women parking spots...a lot of places have them and they are right next to the door.  Above all, don't push yourself, if you are feeling super tired one day just let everyone know that you will meet up with the later that you need to go lay down...trust me everyone should understand completely.

  2. i gree with most of the answers. Just take your time and i know when i was pregnant i needed to carry snacks with me all the time. Plus most people understand that during the first 3 months everything is under the weather:) just relax and have fun. If you need to rest everyone will understand and be supportive of it(as long as they know your pregnant) I hope you have fun on the trip though.

  3. You need to get a check-up from your doctor to make sure that you are in fit enough health, and that the pregnancy is healthy enough to allow for you to fly.

While traveling I advise you to keep your medical records, and the name and number of your doctor. You should also get the name and number of a doctor where you will be staying/visiting in case an emergency comes up.

To keep yourself safe and comfortable on the trip, follow these simple things:

    *drink plenty of water

    *avoid caffeine

*don't eat food that causes gas for at least one day before you travel (pressure builds up as you ascend through the altitudes and could cause pain)

*walk around as much as you can (up and down the aisles)

    *stretch while sitting

    *wear loose fitting clothing

*wear slip on shoes (your feet may swell)

*wear maternity support pantyhose or socks

*try to get an aisle seat or a front row seat for more leg room

    *eat light foods

*eat small meals or snacks at frequent intervals rather than big heavy meals

    *do not eat salt

*Wear your seat belt just under your abdomen (depending on how big you are, you can also ask for a seat belt extender - just be sure that that too goes under your abdomen)

    *relax

While on your vacation, just make sure to keep yourself hydrated, sit down when you feel tired and don't push yourself too much. Eat fruits for a nice refreshing pick me up. And remember to have fun!

I had progesterone therapy with my first pregnancy. Everyone reacts differently to it, so just follow what your body tell you.

I traveled internationally (14+ hours each way) last summer while pregnant. I left when I was 13 weeks and returned when I was around 30 weeks. I also did another short (3 hours each way) international trip (left at 32 weeks and returned at 34 weeks). My daughter was born 23 December and is perfectly healthy and happy. I have also traveled internationally at various stages with my first two pregnancies (my children are now 8&6).

I wrote an article about traveling while pregnant. It gives more in-depth information if you'd like to reference it: http://jamiehassen79.angelfire.com/pregn...

Congratulations on your pregnancy, I hope you have fun on the trip, and if I can be of any more help or assistance, please feel free to contact me.

  4. I agree with what the other's said. Its also extremely important to strech your legs during your flight so you don't get a blood clot. Just walking back to the bathroom a couple of times will be good.

And of course, no running through the airport or anything! If you need to get to your gate across the complex, get one of those little cart thingy people to give you a ride.

  5. Even with group tours you can usually sit out some events and get picked back up. You should be able to rest at your room and join the group at a scheduled time/place. As long as you have the itenerary and are comfortable being on your own a little I think it will all work out. You need your rest, and sitting out a little bit each day may be better than missing out all together.
