Pregnant, miscarriage, or early period?

to keep it short.

me and my boyfriend have s*x

recently i have had a brown discharge

now its turning red.

what is it?

A month before I found out I was actually pregnant with my daughter. I had a pregnancy scare. my period was late and I was taking tests and they were negative. when I finally did get my period it started off brown, then red like a normal period ( not to be gross) I had a serious amount of tissue come out of me. It was nothing I had ever seen before in a regular period. It way kind of greyish to color. mind you this was almost 7 years ago. but i will never forget it..  

I believe I may have had a m/c I dont know. I just thought it was a regular period so I never went to see a dr about it.. then a month later I was pregnant with my daughter who is almost 7 now. :)

should just be your period

sometimes it does start that way... with a brownish discharge,

but i would take an at-home preg. test just to be sure.

Generally, a miscarriage would be pink, not brown.  Brown suggests that the blood is old, and it's probably left over from your last period, or you had a flux in hormones that released a little blood that you didn't notice at first.  Now that you're regulated, it's all coming out.

A miscarriage is going to be sudden, and pink or bright red, because the blood is fresh.

Pregnancy spotting is almost always pink, and doesn't last for even a day.

So, I'd say you're in the clear.
