She has had lots of flase pregnancys and has made a few big and small nests but this time we were goign to try one more time this year and ozzy got close to her alot.

We forgot to put down the date but DEF know it about the start of this week to the end of the weekend.

She now has TONS of fur out and its all over her hutch room and it built up the side and she really wants her food every night so is she pregnant alos she is more worried when i look quickly at her bed so please tell me.

  1. From what I can understand, your rabbit should be into her first week of the pregnancy, right?  If that is the case, then just wait.  The gestation period is 28-34 days, and the nesting box should be put in on the eve of the 28th day.  Don't worry about disturbing her, since it would be better to have the babies in the box instead of on the wire.  If you know the approximate date of when she got pregnant, wait four weeks or so.  Leave her alone.  Good luck.

  2. You really need to put a nestbox in there with her.  The corner isn't really going to suffice because the blind, hairless babies will crawl and once away from the warmth of the nest and other kits, they will die.

It does sound like she's probably pregnant though.

Edit:  I would still put the nestbox in...just add the fur to it.  I realize this isn't always going to work but without the box, you will lose the babies.

  3. hello there

are you sure you have done the real mating procedure?in a real mating of rabbits, after mating, the buck will literally "fall over" to the side and give a grunt.meaning that you had a successful mating.

you could try the palpating process to determine if your doe is pregnant.mind you,it is a bit hard to do this.go to this site for the palpating procedure:

DO NOT try to re breed her.it is not true that does will not accept bucks when she is pregnant.re-mating could lead to a series of serious complications.

as for now,you should just wait.the gestation period os only for about 31 days.

have a nice day and good luck!

  4. does she have a big pile of fur growing from under her neck?  Thats the usual sure sign.  They will pull that hair out to make the nest.

Rabbits from conception to birth is about 6 weeks.

Arr, I have the same problem, only my smaller girl rabbit is interested and my male is not. Good luck. You will need it.
