Question:

Pregnant? When to take the preg test??

My periods for the last couple of months started 5/17(night), 6/18(night), and on 7/19(morning). I've had s*x after my last period was over for almost every day until Aug 20th. It's Aug 22 and I still haven't gotten my period yet.

I've done the preg test (twice) and it came out negative. Did I take the test too soon? Am I just late? Or is there still a chance of being pregnant? If there is a chance, what would the percentage be?

Thanks!!

  1. You can take a pregnancy est AT ANY TIME.  Some pregnancy tests can even be taken BEFORE you miss your period.  Check the package.

  2. You may just be stressing so much that it's being delayed. Relax. Take the test in the morning and see what your results are.

  3. you could still be pregnant I would test a few days after your missed period. I know you can get tests nowadays that say it is possible to test before your period is due, but if you want an accurate reading i'd say its always best to wait until after. Although i say a few days after (as usually there is enough hormone in your urine by that point for most women) i've been pregnant twice, and both times tested at 3 days late and had a negative result, a test again at 7 days late for both came up with a strong positive. I haven't heard of a women testing after 7-10 days late (with a normal pregnancy) and having a false negative so after this time. Oh, and always use your first wee of the day!
