Question:

Pregnant and falling?

I'm 2 and half months pregnant (10 weeks) and I was trying to open the vent up in the bedroom for the airconditioning.. It is on the ceiling. I was on a wooden folding chair and I had felt it starting to give in on me. As I leaned towards my left to keep it from folding in, I toppled over the back of the chair. On the way I hit my belly on the back of the chair and somewhere between the air and the floor I had also scraped my right leg and left arm.. Both are bleeding but I'm not leaking any blood from my vaginal area.. Am I ok and shouldn't worry unless I start bleeding? I don't want to lose my baby but I don't want an unwanted hospital bill if I don't need it.

  1. You should go to the doctor! Because even if youre not bleeding, something could have happened to the baby and thats a chance you shouldnt take

  2. You should definitely call your doctor, at the very least. One of the biggest reasons that I would be concerned is because you are at a stage of your pregnancy where you still can't feel the baby move, so there is really no way of knowing yourself if your baby is okay. If your Dr. recommends that you be seen, then to heck with the unwanted bill. That's part of life. I hope everything is okay. Good Luck.

  3. well you need to watch yourself your only 10 weeks a lot can go wrong take it easy but you could be ok just make sure you don't have bleeding or start to have really bad cramping take care

  4. you should be ok.. you should tell your doctor and see if you can get an ultrasound to see if the baby is ok just incase

  5. I would let your doctor know, Anytime you hit your belly with some force it is not good. Although the baby is in a protective sac it would be a good idea.

  6. hmmmm difficult to say....but all i can say is...this is not about you anymore it's about your baby...go to an urgent care, if you don't have medical insurance

  7. you should go to the dr. so the can make sure everything is ok. better safe then sorry.

  8. More than likely you and the baby are both okay, but you should call the doctor anyway. Talking to someone about what happened can give you a better idea of what you need to watch for or if they feel you need to see the doctor, you can. Good luck!

  9. I know you don't want an unwanted hospital bill but, for the sake of the baby, you should go to the hospital to get checked out.

As for the A/C vent and, the folding chair, get a step ladder from the hardware store so, the next time you have to fiddle with the vent, you will be standing on something that is sturdier than a folding chair.
