i just found out that i am 5 weeks pregnant. we were planning our wedding for may of 09. well now we have to push up the wedding. we changed our venue and everything. so now we're trying to plan around my fiances brother who is in the military he comes back in december. my questions are...should i wait until january to get married (i will be about 6 months along by then) or should we do a very simple and quick wedding in sept. of this year? is it tacky to be pregnant and have a kind of big wedding?

here is my dress if we have the wedding when im bigger...

  1. Why not Wait till after the baby is born?  I know its putting it off but then the baby can be there, you don't have to rush, and you will ahve more time to plan and save.

  2. I don't think it's tacky to be pregnant and getting married.  I think it would be in somewhat bad taste to have a huge, lavish, extravagant event and be 8 months pregnant...but nothing wrong with something tasteful.

Personally, I'd be hopping to the courthouse asap and saving all my money for a house, baby things, etc.

I like the 2nd dress better though.

    Congratulations.

  3. This is your wedding.  Lots of brides have been pregnant; even more in past centuries as it was de rigeur for the bride to be knock up to prove she was fertile.

I like both dresses.  i've been at weddings where the brides children were present.

If you want a big do have one.

God bless you both, have a great day,

  4. Congrats! Just get married as soon as possible - circumstances have changed, and you two just plan a simple wedding, so you can concentrate on becoming parents.

  5. Well, from experience (I've had 2 kids!!) I started showing when I was 3 months!! There's one dress from David's Bridal that I totally would've worn while I was pregnant and if I was getting married. It's a flowy dress and affordable.

Honestly? I like the one for before you start showing...but I'm not too convinced about the other one...check these out...

AND...have your wedding whenever you want...remember it's YOUR day...not anyone elses!

  6. If you're concerned about having the child out of wedlock, you can always do a small ceremony in September, even just arrange to have your officiant do it after a regular Sunday service.  Then plan the big bash for your original date and renew your vows with your family and friends present.

  7. why does it matter!?  Have the wedding when you first planned it so you dont have to deal with more stress and can enjoy it!  In todays world I would hope that wouldnt lead to people being too judgemental!

  8. Not At All. I Don't Think It's Tacky To Get Married While Pregnant.

To Be Totally Honest, I'd Do The Same Thing.

I LOVE The 1st Dress. It's So Pretty.

I Think As Long As You Get A Lot Of Planning Done Before You Get Too Stressed With The Pregnancy You'll Be Fine No Matter When You Get Married.

    Good Luck & Congrats.

    =)
