I got summoned for Jury duty in 2004 and I told them I had no babysitter for my little son so they excused me i got a letter saying ill get called around october 2005. I got called from january 2005-march but i said the same reason but never got an excuse but there is no warrant out because I got into an accident if there was a warrant they would have told me or taken me to jail, and now i got summoned the other day and i am 4 months pregnant with a 4 year old and a 7 year old to and no babysitter...I also have to pee every 30 minutes, and i have to have water every few minutes or i get sick. So, how will they deal with that?

  1. I think I would call right away and tell them the circumstances.  They should excuse you.  Tell them you can get a note from your doctor if that is necessary.  (I live in Indianapolis/Marion County, and our jury summonses have a card to return if there is a reason you cannot serve.)  They really do not want anyone to serve on a jury who cannot devote their full attention to the case.  If the worst happens and you have to go for jury selection, tell the judge your medical situation, and he/she will let you off.

When the time is right, DO take the opportunity to serve on a jury.  It is a right, a privilege, and a great experience!

  2. the only thing you can do to get outta this is stop registering to VOTE and stop renewing your DL thats the only way they pick a jury some states are voter Reg some are from DL find out and stop doing that. or tell them you are Mentally ill, or a felon.
